Fun in the snow, but watch the knees….
A great holiday was had in the Italian/French Alps. But what a dangerous sport! 3 were killed in the next resort due to an avalanche, and one of our party tore a medial knee ligament from the most simplistic incident, perhaps with the said melbourne osteopath to blame….
A visit to the local doctor cost $400, a great reminder about the benefits of health insurance when travelling.
Medial ligament injuries are extremely painful which was what my wife injured. BUT she healed up well within about 3-4 weeks and with some appropriate advice…:) Remember if you hurt your knee and its very painful, there is a good chance you have done a less significant injury. If there is a complete tear often the pain is less..:)
