Rohan & crew take on the Gold Coast Marathon
During winter, our resident running Osteopath and running coach Rohan Armstrong took his team of athletes to the GC marathon.

A welcome break from Melbourne’s winter, the GC didn’t disappoint with a few glorious warm sunny days to lift the spirits. Fortunately, the mornings are cool and race day conditions were perfect with a starting temp of about 12 degrees and just a light breeze as they set off on their 42.2 km journey!
The marathon is about preparation most importantly and then on race day it’s a test of patience, discipline, pacing and ultimately perseverance.
THIS IS YOUR DAY was our theme for this weekend, and our athletes stuck to the plan and produced some great results.
Our two first timers produced debut performances exceeding their expectations!
Three of our more seasoned competitors really showed their grit and determination to produce some impressive PBs of about 4 minutes a piece.
And the remainder of our team who were in training mode or happy to get the job done were all successful in finishing off their runs strong.

Most importantly all starters finished!!
The relief and elation evident in the pics that follow!
Overall, a very successful campaign with some great results!!
Some well-earned R & R followed … golf and skiing for the coach, as the crew focus on recovery for the next few weeks before we turn our attention to Sydney Marathon at the end of August and Melbourne Marathon in October!
