People often ask what I’ve been up to outside the clinic… and the short answer is: quite a bit!

The longer answer is that I’m somehow juggling clinic life being a Melbourne Osteopath at Melbourne City Osteopathy with my role as President of Osteopathy Australia, thankfully coffee is still doing its job. Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of attending the Victoria University and RMIT Osteopathy Student Balls, presenting awards to some outstanding future osteopaths. With more than 300 students across the two events, it was fantastic to see so much energy and excitement for the profession.

The future of osteopathy is looking very bright.

I’ve also represented osteopathy at AHPRA’s Scope of Practice Roundtable, making sure our profession has a strong voice in important national discussions about healthcare and the future of practice.

In between all that, I’ve been making my way around the country’s capital cities, catching up with members and sharing what Osteopathy Australia has been working on. These visits are a great opportunity to talk about the advocacy happening behind the scenes, hear directly from members, and make sure we’re heading in the right direction together.

It’s been a busy schedule balancing clinic, travel and board commitments, but I genuinely enjoy wearing both hats. Whether I’m treating patients in the clinic or advocating for the profession nationally, it’s all about helping osteopathy continue to grow and thrive.
