Butter is fine but too much margarine can kill according to a new study.

New research, which looked at 50 studies involving more than 1 million people, found there was no evidence that saturated fat, found in butter, was bad for health.  But trans fatty acids, which are produced industrially from plant oils for use in margarine, snack foods and packaged goods were found to increase death by over 30%.
