Melissa is a qualified Social Worker, graduating from the University of Melbourne (MSW) in 2014.

Before a career in counselling, supervision and seasonal tutoring at the University of Melbourne in Social Work, she worked within the travel and tourism industry and has extensive management and program development experience.

Melissa is passionate about empowering people to thrive, and her relaxed approach allows her to work in parallel with people, encouraging action. Her therapeutic approach is guided holistically by incorporating theory, mindfulness, and various strategies, including Internal Family Systems (IFS). Driven by curiosity and empathy, she aims to support people to reconnect to themselves and transition from where they are to where they want to be.

She has a particular interest in anxiety, enhancing interpersonal relationships, workplace stress and burnout, grief and loss, external supervision, conflict resolution and mediation, and promoting mental health in workplaces.

She will complete her PhD examining millennial mental health promotion in workplaces in 2024.

When not at the beach, Melissa loves to check out new restaurants, travel and indulge in local, live music.
