Dr Bronwyn La Brooy Osteopath
Bronwyn is a highly qualified over achiever! She works in the Pilates Studio and works in both city clinics throughout the week as an Osteopath. She also works in Burwood at Burwood Osteo & Rehab.
She graduated from RMIT University after initially completing an Exercise and Sport Science degree from Deakin University. She is the FIRST Exercise Rehabilitative Osteopath in Australia!
She has a nutrition and rehabilitation background and has worked with many sporting teams over the last 13 years – in particular coordinating a rowing program at Caulfield Grammar School and head trainer at Old Carey football club. She plays a variety of sports herself including netball and triathlons and has been addicted to running the past few years, steadily getting her marathon time lower.
Bronwyn understands the biomechanics of movement, posture and lifestyle on health and wellbeing. She is an avid “yogie”, has dry needling and cupping certificates and is an experienced and qualified Pilates Instructor.
For Pilates, you can see her for 1:1 or 1:2 classes for intimate, closely supervised rehabilitative sessions. Make use of her extensive sports trainer and osteo history in the studio, she is a valuable resource!
Not only is she the Pilates manager and resident rehab guru, but what you probably don’t know is that she has over 13 years experience working with complex medical conditions and chronic health complaints; using the base that “exercise is medicine.” Here at City Osteo we have ongoing in-house professional development and Bronwyn is teaching us all the latest in medicine and healthcare so we are all up to date on current rehabilitative research.
This is a massive achievement and a testament to her many years of study and hard work. Soak up her knowledge in a treatment room, as we all realise – treatment doesn’t stop when you leave the table.
