Knee and Foot pain

Many people don’t know that Osteopaths treat knee and foot pain. Furthermore, we are very good at treating knee and foot pain.
Osteopathy is about bringing all the structures in the body together so that all the joints, muscles and ligaments operate in unison. This often works beautifully well when addressing the lower limb joints.

More often than not, pain is created in the knee and foot when there are imbalances in muscle tension, uneven weight-bearing between left and right or overuse patterns. These problems could arise from the base of your feet or from the top of your pelvis and low back – the whole body needs to be assessed.
Common complaints that hobble into our rooms are Patellofemoral Dysfunction, Patella Tendonitis, Meniscus impingement, Quadriceps tightness, Lateral knee pain, recurrent calf strains, Achilles tendonitis, flat feet and Plantar Fasciitis.
Many of these injuries can be greatly improved with manual therapy, exercise and strengthening advice and orthotic intervention. The Osteopaths at City Osteopathy have a great understanding on how to approach many of the aches and pains that arise in the foot and knee.
