Dr Matthew Franz – Osteopath
Matthew graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Health Science and Applied Science – Osteopathy. His love for sport and physical activity was introduced at a young age, playing AFL, tennis and swimming. Through this passion, Matthew understands the demands an injury can place on an active body and hopes to guide patients through their journey to achieve their optimum state of health.
He strongly believes in educating his patients in gaining a better understanding of their health, guiding them along the multifaceted journey. With a focus on exercise rehabilitation and hands on treatment, Matthew treats a range of injuries from common issues such as low back pain and headaches to specific sporting injuries and everything else in between! Matthew’s recent osteopathy placement in India allowed him to practise a variety of these problems.
Matthew loves a chat, yet is focused and a great listener. In spare time Matthew enjoys competing in triathlons and swim events such as pier to pub over the summer while also indulging in the impressive food culture that Melbourne has to offer. An avid AFL fan, he enjoys watching his beloved Collingwood Magpies. He loves to travel but on most weekends you are sure to find him watching and supporting local bands.
You can find Matthew in our Swanston street clinic, and he also works in Mill Park in his other practise.
