One of our favourite and most enthusiastic Melbourne Osteopaths at City Osteopathy, Dr Matthew Franz competed in the 1.2km Lorne Pier to Pub ocean swim for the 3rd year in a row. Knowing all well what was expected and with the conditions being cold and rough swells, Matthew again felt the full effects of the swim but loved every second of it. With a time of 20.21, he was happy and celebrated with a beer after the event. Matthew is now aiming to compete in the 2XU triathlon in March. With only 2 months to train, Matthew has discovered the enjoyment of cycling again and he hopes this will help him to get a good time for his first triathlon.
Matthew’s summer was not only focused on training and sport, he spent Christmas with his family and his brother who returned from Switzerland. This was made even more special with his niece celebrating her first Christmas! Summer was also a time that gave Matthew the chance to get away to his favourite local beach spot Ocean Grove for the week, enjoying the sunshine and being around family!
