City Osteopathy is proud to offer both Psychology services, and Counselling services at our Collins Street Clinic. We have two wonderfully qualified therapists, both professionally and also with a whole lot of life experience. Times have been tough, we recognise the importance of being able to speak to someone, Rachel McGregor our Psychologist and Melissa Gibbs our Councellor are fantastic resources.
Rachel McGregor Psychologist is a registered psychologist with over 16 years of experience helping clients of all ages and backgrounds. She completed her Psychology studies at Macquarie University and has since worked in a variety of settings, including psychology private practice, behavioural consultation services and education across Sydney, London and Melbourne.
Rachel is known for her warm and compassionate approach, which helps clients feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. She has completed training in behavioural therapies including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptant and Commitment therapy (ACT) and uses these approaches to help clients identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviours that may be impacting their wellbeing and functioning. She believes in the power of therapy to help individuals achieve their goals and live happier, more fulfilling lives.
Rachel also enjoys working with leaders and managers to improve their self awareness, decision making and performance. This may include personality testing, strengths assessment and skills coaching to build awareness and confidence in the workplace.
Rachel has helped clients with a variety of concerns including anxiety, social anxiety, stress, adjustment, parental stress and interpersonal issues.
Rachel is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of psychology. She regularly attends workshops and training, and she takes a collaborative approach to working with clients, drawing on the latest evidence-based practices and techniques to create personalised treatment plans.
Consultations available on Thursdays at City Osteopathy, Suite 2, Level 5, 15 Collins Street, Melbourne. Medicare rebates may apply with referral from GP. Private Health rebates available.

Melissa Gibbs Counsellor is a qualified Social Worker, graduating from the University of Melbourne (MSW) in 2014.
Before a career in counselling, supervision and seasonal tutoring at the University of Melbourne in Social Work, she worked within the travel and tourism industry and has extensive management and program development experience.
Melissa is passionate about empowering people to thrive, and her relaxed approach allows her to work in parallel with people, encouraging action. Her therapeutic approach is guided holistically by incorporating theory, mindfulness, and various strategies, including Internal Family Systems (IFS). Driven by curiosity and empathy, she aims to support people to reconnect to themselves and transition from where they are to where they want to be.
She has a particular interest in anxiety, enhancing interpersonal relationships, workplace stress and burnout, grief and loss, external supervision, conflict resolution and mediation, and promoting mental health in workplaces.
She will complete her PhD examining millennial mental health promotion in workplaces in 2024.
When not at the beach, Melissa loves to check out new restaurants, travel and indulge in local, live music.
