Lachlan Goodwin - Osteopath

After completing 2 years of a Biomedical degree majoring in human biology and anatomy, Lachlan moved into Osteopathy and graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Masters degree in Osteopathy.

Lachlan comes to us with a structural and exercise rehabilitation approach to treatment. He takes a holistic approach, looking not only at the injury, but also at contributing factors that may be influencing imbalances within the musculoskeletal system.

Lachlan also works as a sessional lecturer and tutor at RMIT University, teaching Physical/Neurological examination and Anatomy/Palpation to first and second year Osteopathy students.

Lachlan has always been a very keen sportsman, having participated in a wide range of sports including swimming, football, basketball, boxing, kickboxing/ mouy thai, gym/weight work and, more recently, middle distance running. When he’s not at work you can often find Lachlan either trailbike riding, 4X4ing or camping somewhere in Victoria’s back country.

Lachlan also hopes to undertake further study in the treatment of animals through the Animal Biomechanical Medicine course that will be running in 2012. He has always had a passion for animals, whether it his Lizards, his python ‘Hades’ or his running partner Teeka, his English staffy.

Lachlan is a Member of the Australian Osteopathic Association as well as a Professional member of Sports Medicine Australia.
