What Is Osteopathy?
City Osteopathy Corporate
Julia uses a broad range of structural osteopathic techniques which also includes dry needling, and incorporates some gentler osteopathic treatment for certain conditions if needed. Having a holistic approach, Julia's consultations include advice on posture, nutrition, exercise, and work or home ergonomics to facilitate overall health, rehabilitation and injury prevention. She finds that having a Clinical Pilates background also helps her to encourage patients to integrate gentle postural exercises into their daily lives.
She graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Sciences), and Masters which researched postural instability in chronic lower back pain during functional tasks.
Having a diverse sporting, dance and music background, Julia has a keen interest in related musculoskeletal injuries, as well as treatment of conditions such as headaches, neck and back pain, and post-surgical rehabilitation. She also provides osteopathic care for all aspects of women's health, including treatment and advice from ante-natal to post-natal stages of pregnancy, and pelvic floor strengthening for women of all ages.
Julia keeps active in a wide range of activities, including gym work, running, swimming, clinical pilates and yoga. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, drawing and catching up with friends.
