Shane Buntman - Osteopath

Shane Buntman (BSc (Genetics), BSc (Clinical Science) M.H.Sc (Osteopathy)

Shane graduated in 2004 from Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia. Before working as an Osteopath Shane worked as a Remedial Massage therapist in the health and fitness industry and completed a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Genetics and Biochemistry.

Shane has spent five years in the UK working as an Osteopath in large multidisciplinary clinics treating clients from all walks of life, ranging from children to the elderly, social athletes to the elite. He also worked alongside a leading Neurologist and Neurosurgeon for six months and spent two years treating the elderly community.

Shane has a special interest in treating acute and chronic low back problems, neurological conditions as well as structural musculo-skeletal problems. He is experienced in manipulation, biomechanics and functional rehabilitation.

Shane performs acupuncture/dry needling, postural assessments and work place station ergonomics for patients and companies.

Shane has a strong belief that if you can alter and assist in correcting people’s postures and biomechanics through Osteopathic treatment and rehabilitation exercise this will have a substantial influence on their life by decreasing pain and increase overall function and well-being.

He has maintained a keen interest in fitness and loves treating sporting injuries.

Most recently Shane was appointed the head Osteopath at the 2008 and 2009 British Golf Open treating the world’s best golfers. He has also taught at the London School of Osteopathy.
