Dr. Sonia Wainberg (Osteopath) is a passionate and committed osteopath and her personal values align with the philosophies and principles of osteopathy. She enjoys helping her patients move through their lives pain-free and as functionally as possible by using a wide range of osteopathic treatment techniques. Sonia is dedicated to helping you improve your overall health with a caring, holistic and individualised approach.
Sonia graduated from Southern Cross University (SCU) with a Bachelor of Clinical Sciences and a Master of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to becoming an Osteopath, Sonia was a Remedial Massage Therapist in Melbourne for many years.
Since graduating Sonia has undertaken further studies to add to her repertoire of skills including: Management of Breathing Dysfunction, Management of Low Back Pain, Osteopathy in the Cranial Field, Balanced Ligamentous Tension Technique, International Meeting on Hip Arthroscopy, and Biodynamics of Human Development. Sonia also has an interest in osteopathic treatment for infants and children and has undertaken extra study in this area.
Outside of the clinic, Sonia is doing yoga, rock climbing, cycling her red racer around town or getting out to the hills for a walk or the coast for a surf when she can. Sonia has also traveled around a bit and loves to hear about where you may have been to give her ideas for future trips!
